MSMs in production

All MSMs were produced at the Mazda Ujina No. 1 Plant in Hiroshima, Japan along with its right hand drive siblings the Mazda Roadster Turbo and MX-5 SE as well as MPV family van, the RX-8, the Demio, and the Verisa.
The production for the North American (LHD) destined cars began on January 14, 2004 with an initial batch of 20 cars produced on that day. The RHD cars began production a week later on January 21st, 2004.

As previously noted elsewhere the production basically ceased after the plant fire on December 15, 2004 with only a few units produced afterwards.(Click to see more)
